Easiest way to increase your odds of getting a control

Boost your odds of getting a control with this simple secret!

Hiya CopyStar!

Don’t you love the moment when you can sit back in your chair… with a big fat smile… and say those two words you’ve been waiting for…

“It’s done!”

You finally finished your copy.

You’ve got your headline.

You created a cover test you love.

You’re ready to turn it in to your client.

See anything wrong with this picture?
Just because YOU love that test cover — doesn’t mean your market will! So don’t put all your eggs in one basket by submitting only one cover test!

It’s OK to turn in more than one cover test with your sales copy. Heck — once I turned in 15 very different covers!

You want your copy to be a winner, right? You wanna make a lot of moolah, right? Then it doesn’t matter which cover works — as long as at least ONE of them works!

I love creating headlines and test covers so much that I wrote an ebook all about them. It’s called Which One Won – How to Write Kick-Butt Headlines and Boost Response! This ebook shows you step-by-step how I create crazy, wacky and successful test covers — and even shows you my flops! It’s great to refer to when you get stuck and need inspiration!

So why do you need to write multiple covers for your package? One reason is you just don’t know what’s going to work! No matter how smart you think you are. No matter how much you think you know your market. The truth is — you just don’t know!

One thing I know for sure is this: If I absolutely love a cover — it’s probably NOT going to be the winner! Usually the cover I like the least ends up being the winner! Go figure! But that’s ok — because as long as I get ONE cover that works — I’m still a winner — and my client is tickled pink! So here’s my advice to you:

Get out of your own way! Stop thinking you’re an expert. Just present your prospect with a variety of solid cover tests — and let the market decide the winner!

Here’s an example:

I loved cover #1, “Uh oh. I’ve got what she had!” This was a package about adrenal fatigue and a woman telling her story. I loved it! It was this cover idea that inspired me to write the entire promo. But you know what?

I had to get out of my way and come up with other cover tests — to give my market choices to determine a winner. And guess which one won?

Well, it certainly wasn’t my first choice!

The winner was cover #3, “Women’s Health Research”! It was a Parade magazine-looking cover. I decided to throw that cover idea in there at the last moment. And dang if that didn’t beat the pants off the other cover tests! See why cover tests are so important? They allow the market to tell you what it wants!

As I said earlier… I’ve got lots more on creating cover tests to grab your prospect by the eyeballs with my ebook Which One Won? How to Write Kick-Butt Headlines and Boost Response so make sure you check it out!

Remember Copystar — when it comes to cover tests…

… it doesn’t matter which one won — you win no matter what!
