Here’s how to write and get NOTICED!

Earlier this week I shared with you how to get your kids interested in copywriting.

From early on – I helped 2 of my 4 children jumpstart their copywriting career. In case you missed their story – you can check it out here!

So what about my other two children? Well…

Daughter #3 Jael Cole is now my Personal Assistant. She also proofreads copy and manages my social media sites. So I would say she’s got at least one foot in the copywriting door!

What about Son #1? Uh – he would rather pull out each eyelash individually than to sit in front of a computer to write copy!

I didn’t make that up. That’s what he once told me! But he’s making a decent living doing what he loves – so I can’t complain.

So why am I telling you the story of my 4 children CopyStar?

Because these kiddos learned early on…

… if they wanted to convince me to say YES to a request – they knew writing a compelling letter increased their odds of getting me to shake my head and agree!

And let me tell you this:

Their writing paid off! 3 out of my 4 children took the copywriting bait!

So what’s the lesson CopyStar…

… if you want to be a copywriter – you’ve got to write!

And you need to write every day. Write emails. Write notes. Write grocery lists with a flair. WRITE!

And I’ve got 2 great ways for you to practice your copywriting skills and get noticed:

Great way #1: Write a review about one of my books on Amazon! I’m confident you’ve read my book (DO NOT admit if you haven’t! Allow me to live in my fairy tale world please).

And since you’ve read – and loved my books – write a review about them! Use a catchy headline!

Grab me with a cool lead!

Convince the reader why this is a MUST HAVE book! In other words – write a kick-butt sales letter!

My books are definitely getting noticed – and people READ reviews! I personally read every one of them – and I comment and acknowledge these reviews. This is great practice for you – especially if you’re a newbie copywriter!

So – give me that review – and remember 5 stars means the book is awesome.
