OK – so I need some help.
You know I’m relatively new to YouTube, right? So maybe you can help me figure this out…
Normally when I post a video I get about 100 views. I know I’m a “little fish” in the YouTube pond – so I’m actually thrilled when I get 100 views… 2,000 impressions… and a click through rate above 2%.
But something happened recently – and I just can’t figure it out!
And in just a few days, I got 1,700 views (which is 1,600 more than normal!)… 6,400 impressions (4,000 more than my best videos)… and a click through rate of 13.0% (remember – I’m happy with 2% – so you know I’m screaming here!).
But that’s not even the good part…
I sent out another Adventures video the following Saturday. This one was called Kenya Gone Wild (click here to see it). And HOLEY MOLEY!
In less than 48 hours – I got 1,900 views – and 31,300 IMPRESSIONS with a 2.4% click-through rate!
31,300 impressions!
So what happened?
What made YouTube want to spread the news about that Kenya video – way more than ALL the other 232 videos on my channel?
If you’ve got some YouTube savvy – and can help me understand what just happened here – I’d really appreciate it!
