Flashback Friday: How much do I want you to succeed?

Hiya CopyStar!

I got this GORGEOUS surprise bouquet from Chris A., one of my Copy Cubs – with a card that said:

Carline,

Thanks so much for your help… lessons learned… and a lot of laughs! I learned tons! Here’s to a big winner!

This was Chris’ first big promo launch with me. And I worked her butt off!

She went through numerous rounds of edits and rewrites.
I tore her lead to shreds.

Made her go back and write and rewrite her bullets until they were rifle-ready!

Then I sent the final copy to my client. And Chris and I celebrated over Zoom!

I told her she just had to stop getting in her own way. She’s a good writer but she kept making dumb mistakes that blocked her success.

I showed her how to get rid of those roadblocks.

And she listened.

So now I can honestly say, “Chris GETS it! She really, really GETS IT!”

Honestly – that was satisfaction enough.

A few tears shed.
