I’m starting a 10-day fast.
No food for 10 days.
Just drinking these “nutrition pouches” formulated by my acupuncturist, Dr. Hyeryn Chung.
I start my morning drinking a 6-oz “Detox” pouch at 6am and then again at 8am. This formula tastes like a very watered-down collard green juice.
At 10am and noon – I drink “Energy” pouches. Those taste like watered down honey. I like that.
At 2pm and 4pm – it’s time for “Collagen” pouches. Now these taste like watered down fruit juice.
But at 6pm and 8pm – it’s back to the “Detox” pouches again. Yuk.
I can drink all the hot/warm water I want throughout the day. And I can add fresh lemon to my water.
Oh yippee.
Every other day – I visit Dr. Chung for an acupuncture treatment.
She also monitors my vitals to make sure I’m doing OK on the fast. The acupuncture really helps me feel good. And it gives me motivation to continue.
Weird – but true.
For exercise – I can go on daily walks – but nothing too strenuous. I also need to keep my stress levels under control. And get plenty of sleep.
That’s it.
That’s my FAST program for the next 10 days – and I’m taking you on this journey with me!
Oh – let me tell you: This is not my first rodeo.
In fact – this is the 3rd time I’m doing this 10-day fast.
Why do it again…and again…and again?
I do it for a REBOOT!
Dr. Chung likens this 10-day fast to “Nature’s Surgery”.
It’s an opportunity for my body to spend time on “Focused Self-Healing.”
Digestion takes up a huge amount of energy in the body.
By removing digestion from the equation – your body has time and energy to focus on cell repair and homeostasis – a fancy schmancy word for “getting your body back in balance”.
Plus – I’m doing it for the sheer challenge! I haven’t done this 10-day fast in a while.
It takes self-control, mental focus and determination to complete it. I want to know if I still got it!

I also know the importance of staying busy during the fast – and focusing on interesting challenges. In other words…
… keeping my mind engaged – so I’m not fixated on food!
And one thing I really enjoy is finding ways to help you boost your copywriting skills – and make writing sales copy lots of FUN!
